Last Friday a small group of members attended an Astronomy afternoon at the home of Phillip Mahon. Phil gave us insight into Astronomy such as looking at the stars and planets. He also showed us his various equipment such enormous Telescope, camera and attachments to view the sun and its spots and also stars and constellations. There is also a very good book called “Astronomy 2022” It is an yearly book and should be coming out soon for next year and is available at bookshops. There also is a very good App to download called Stellar Tour. Once you download this and set it up it is brilliant. Stuart and I found satellites and lots of constellations on Saturday night as it was a clear night. Well worth it.
